SATURDAY, JUNE 7TH – WINCHESTER TOWN DAY!
This local Winchester ‘kick-off-summer’ tradition is celebrating it’s 33rd year! Thousands of residents, vendors, small business owners, families and friends gather in and around the town center to celebrate the community they love. An all day affair, Town Day is jam packed with events for all ages. From 8AM-10PM, sign up for a morning race, ride a hot air balloon, or stick around to see the fireworks at the end! There will also be a petting zoo, games and delicious food stands from area restaurants! You don’t want to miss this one!
SATURDAY, JUNE 7TH – YMCA CAMP DAY AT MARKET STREET!
Games on The Green at new Lynnfield MarketStreet! From 1-4PM the YMCA will host a slew of activities for children to participate in including: tag games, team-building activities, youth fitness activities and dance party games. This event is weather permitting.
TUESDAY, JUNE 10TH – STORY TIME & SNACKS AT MARKET STREET!
Starting Tuesday, June 10th, Whole Foods Market at MarketStreet in Lynnfield will host a weekly ‘story & snacks’ time from 9:30-10AM in the Container Room. Join local story tellers for fun story time, songs, and snacks!
THURSDAY, JUNE 12TH – KNITTING CLUB!
Looking to learn a new hobby? Need to finish up a knitting project? Knitting enthusiasts and beginners alike can join in on a free Thursday night Knitting Club at BestSeller’s Cafe in Medford Square (24 High Street, Medford MA) from 6:30-8PM. SATURDAY, JUNE 14TH – ANTIQUE FIRE TRUCK PARADE, SHOW & FLEA MARKET!
Join the MAFAA for their 37th Annual Antique Fire Apparatus Parade, Show and Flea Market. The Parade will begin at Lynnfield High School at 10AM and end at Edgewater Park in Wakefield. This event is free for all ages and will end with a Firematic Fleamarket with collectibles available for purchase.
SATURDAY, JUNE 14TH – TEDDY BEAR CHECK UP!
Okay so this one is FREE per se, but I couldn’t pass up adding this in with an adorable event name like that. Bring your favorite teddy bear to Stone Zoo in Stoneham from 10AM-3PM and staff will give your bear a check-up and a clean bill of health! There is also a Teddy Bear Parade where you march through the Zoo making special stops to say hello to the resident black bears, Smoky and Bubba! Learn all about bears, enjoy live music, and storytime featuring Mama and Papa Bear of the Berenstain Bears! Events are FREE with regular admission price paid at the entrance!
SUNDAY, JUNE 15TH – REAL SCHOOL OF MUSIC OPEN MIC NIGHT!
Not quite ready to try out for the next season of ‘The Voice’? Check out the Real School of Music’s Open Mic Night for ALL ages! If you are a soloist or have a band that you are dying to showcase, here is your chance! This FREE event is held the third Sunday of every month starting at 4:30PM. Doors open at 4PM for sign ups.
THURSDAY, JUNE 19TH – CIRCLE IN THE SQUARE!
Starting the third summer in a row, Circle in the Square has certainly made it’s mark in Medford as one of the ‘must-see’ events. The third Thursday of every month (June-August) from 4 to 8PM catch this street festival in action! The Square is filled with live performances, special food options, local artists, arts & crafts, shopping and more!
SATURDAY, JUNE 21ST – WAKEFIELD FARMER’S MARKET!
Running from the third weekend in June to the third weekend in October, the Wakefield Farmer’s Market is a ‘fan favorite’. Each week features booths with produce/meat/poulty farmers, great fish vendors, baked goods, salsa, rootbeer, soaps, artisans, and more! Located conveniently on Lake Quannapowitt, this Saturday market runs from 9AM-1PM at Hall Park on North Avenue in Wakefield.
SATURDAY, JUNE 21ST – STONEHAM KIWANIS DOG SHOW!
This annual Kiwanis Dog Show hosted by the Stoneham Kiwanis on the Stoneham Commons is a great, free event for animal lovers — and owners! Think your dog is the best looking in the neighborhood? or has a fancy dance they like to show off? Enter your dog for $5! Proceeds from the dog show help pay for multiple items and activities at the Stoneham Boys and Girls Club, as well as towards a scholarship for students at Stoneham High School.
THURSDAY, JUNE 26TH – SUMMER CONCERTS ON THE COMMON!
The Stoneham Chamber of Commerce ‘Summer Concerts on the Common’ start Thursday, June 26th and continue on every Thursday of the summer! The concerts start at 7PM and the performer details are TBD.
SATURDAY, JUNE 28TH – GREAT AMERICAN BACKYARD CAMPOUT!
Where? Your OWN backyard! ‘Join’ 200,000 people across the country camping out in their own back yards! National Wildlife Federation‘s Board of Directors and other friends have offered to donate $2 in support of NWF’s wildlife conservation work for every person that participates in this year’s Campout! Visit the NWF site for camping tips, songs, recipes, lists and more!
MONDAY, JUNE 30TH – MUSICAL MONDAYS AT MARKETSTREET!
Enjoy live musical performances every Monday at Whole Foods Market at MarketStreet in Lynnfield in the Container Room by musicians of all ages trained by Pianist and Composer Andrew Celentano, and co-sponsored by Newpro. Acoustic, Classical, Jazz, Singer/Songwriter, and Broadway are amongst the genres being featured. Starts at 6PM every Monday!
